An idea that became reality
Carefully thought out projects, bold designs and the thought of high quality homeware/kitchenware spread across the UK at an affordable rate are a source of passion for us. Each of our products started as a design, but through the craftmanship are helping shape our story. Our designs are conceived to reflect the spirit of your home and transform your living spaces into a warm atmosphere and aid in helping you enjoy those kitchen cooking sessions.
The idea
Oak Acquisitions was founded in 2024 by two qualified engineers Sam & Luke who met while on part-time university studies in the North-East of England. Both engineers with years of experience in manufacturing and share similar interests in business and relish the practical aspects of creativity got the idea for making affordable and original accessories and houseware when searching for products for their own homes.
Both engineers wanting something new decided to try and provide a range of custom timber products in a truly artisan way. We are constantly developing, researching new technologies and trying to keep up to date with what people want, as we do this we are working with varying suppliers to continue to vary our product range and branch out.
Growing up practical
Born in 1998 & 2000 in the North-East of England, renowned for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and cultural heritage featuring Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral and numerous castles both Sam & Luke spent their childhoods fixing, making or breaking things.
The practical side of them instilled by their fathers love for being hands-on both their relationship with the outdoors and natural materials in the world, the working towards mastering and sharing their craft came early.
Personal Touch
When not working hard on Oak Acquisitions the two friends can be found enjoying some downtime in the outdoors. Typically, in the stunning Lake District in the North of England or up in the Scottish Hebrides taking in the stunning scenery, fresh air and quiet of being away from the hustle and bustle. Never too far away from home and the workshop to make sure they are always on hand.
With such a love for the outdoors partnering with JUST ONE tree charity was a no brainer for the pair to have their say and contribution in giving even a little bit back with every sale.
